General Questions

How do I login?
Enter your username and password in the top right corner of the screen, then click login.

What do I do if I've forgotten my login?
Click on Forgotten your login? in the top right corner of the screen. You will be prompted for the email address registered in your profile. Research Resources will automatically reset your password and email you the new password. If you have access to the Dataset Analyser you will need to wait for the Research Resources team to update your password on the Dataset Analyser before you can access it.

How do I change my password, name or email?
After logging in, click Edit user details in the top right corner of the screen. If you have access to the Dataset Analyser, you will also need to update your details separately in the Dataset Analyser.

I don't have a login. How do I request one?
Email the Research Resources team and request a login. You will need to provide your full name, email address and which organisation you work for.

When I'm logged into Research Resources and I click on the Dataset Analyser, I am no longer logged in.
If you have not been granted access to the Dataset Analyser you will not be able to login to it. Please contact the Research Resources team to request access.
If you have been granted access to the Dataset Analyser, you will not be logged in if your password in Research Resources does not match your password in the Dataset Analyser. Change your password in the Dataset Analyser to match. If you have forgotten your password for the Dataset Analyser, contact the Research Resources team to request a reset of your passwords.

Research & Evaluation

How do I search for a publication or document?
  1. Click on Research & Evaluation to navigate to the Research & Evaluation database.
  2. Use the Basic search or Advanced search to specify keywords and other search criteria, or to see a full list of publications and documents in our database, do not enter anything in the Basic search and click Go.

How do I add a publication or document to the database?
You do not have access to add or edit publications in the database. Please contact the Research Resources team to request access.

How do I view the quality assessment of a publication or document?
You must be logged in to view quality assessments.

I cannot find a publication or document in the database, however I know that it has been entered.
Check that you are logged in. If the publication or document has not been published, it will not appear in the search lists or be viewable unless you are logged in.

Case Studies

How do I search for a case study?
  1. Click on Case Studies to navigate to the Case Studies database.
  2. Use the Search to specify keywords and other search criteria, or to see a full list of case studies in our database, do not enter any search criteria and click Search.

How do I add a case study to the database?
You do not have access to add case studies to the database. Please contact the Research Resources team to request access.

How do I rate a case study?
You must be logged in to rate a case study. View the case study and click Rate this case study in the right hand side of the screen.

How do I delete a case study?
You can only delete your own case studies.
  1. Click on Case Studies to navigate to the Case Studies database.
  2. Under My case studies in the left hand menu, click View my list
  3. Click Request next to the case study to be deleted. A request will be sent to the Research Resources team to remove your case study.

I accidentally deleted a case study. How do I "undelete" the case study?
Provided the case study still appears in your list with _DELETED_ attached to the title, you can undelete the case study by clicking Restore next to the case study. If the case study no longer appears in the list, it has been permanently deleted and cannot be restored.

Where can I obtain a MS Word or Excel version of the Case Study template?
  1. Click on Case Studies to navigate to the Case Studies database.
  2. Under My case studies in the left hand menu, click on the required template format.
